Diego Rolan wins it for Bordeaux against Saint-Etienne

Bordeaux edged out Saint-Etienne 1-0 on Sunday afternoon to go within a point of the top four in Ligue 1.

In an entertaining first half, Kevin Theophile-Catherine came close to getting a foot on the end of a free kick, before Max Gradel went close for the visitors.

Rolan eventually gave Bordeaux the lead when he squeezed in a low effort from inside the area just prior to the break.

After the restart, Rolan spurned a great chance to double their lead when he fired wide, before Mariano blasted over the bar with 10 minutes to go.
