Kevin Davies to sign new Bolton Wanderers deal

Davies to sign new Bolton deal

Kevin Davies is reportedly prepared to snub a move to Sunderland in favour of a fresh deal with Bolton Wanderers.

The 34-year-old captain, who has been at the Reebok Stadium since 2003, has been linked with a switch to Sunderland, who had a bid rejected by the Lancashire side.

It is believed that Martin O'Neill will have to give up his pursuit of the striker as Davies has decided to sign a new deal with Owen Coyle's side, according to Sky Sports News.

The frontman has dropped down the rankings at Bolton.
