Steve Kean pleased with fighting spirit after draw

Kean pleased with aggressive display

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean was left pleased with how his side "took the game by the scruff of the neck" to earn a point at Queens Park Rangers.

Rovers went behind after Heidar Helguson struck for the hosts, but Christopher Samba's equaliser minutes later gave the Lancashire club a point.

"I think going behind it shows that we got a bit angry, which is the response that we're after," Kean told Sky Sports News.

"What you don't want to do is get down and feel sorry for ourselves when you go down from a set play.

"I thought we came back into the game well. We took the game by the scruff of the neck and we got our rewards."

Despite the draw, results elsewhere mean that Rovers are bottom of the Premier League table.
