Report: Birmingham City keen to extend Demarai Gray deal

Birmingham City offer in-demand Demarai Gray a two-year extension at St Andrew's, according to reports.

Birmingham City have reportedly offered youngster Demarai Gray a fresh two-year contract extension at St Andrew's.

Gray, 18, bagged a hat-trick in Saturday's 6-1 win over Reading and has since been linked with moves to Newcastle United and Liverpool, speculation that he rejects.

Crystal Palace are thought to have been knocked back in the summer and the Blues are still keen on keeping him, with his existing deal scheduled to expire in 2016.

However, according to Sky Sports News, City have invited the opportunity to extend his stay in the West Midlands by offering a new contract that runs until 2018.

The starlet has scored four times in 16 Birmingham appearances this season.
