Bundesliga week 30 predictions including Bayer Leverkusen vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of this weekend's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayer Leverkusen vs. Bayern Munich.

Freiburg vs. Borussia M'bach (Friday, 7.30pm)

Borussia Monchengladbach will be looking to increase the pressure on third-placed RB Leipzig when they face off against Freiburg in Friday's Bundesliga clash.

In contrast, Freiburg are still searching for their first win since the German top flight resumed following two draws and two losses in May.

We say: Freiburg 0-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Both sides are in real contention to feature in European competition for the 2020-21 campaign, but given Monchengladbach's goalscoring exploits and Freiburg's poor form since the restart, we are expecting a narrow away win.

RB Leipzig vs. SC Paderborn (Saturday, 2.30pm)

RB Leipzig will be looking to make it three wins from their five matches since the Bundesliga resumed in the middle of May when they host bottom side SC Paderborn on Saturday afternoon.

Julian Nagelsmann's side currently sit third in the table, just two points off second-placed Borussia Dortmund, although they are nine behind leaders Bayern Munich on the same number of matches.

We say: Leipzig 3-0 Paderborn

Interestingly, Paderborn have picked up more points on their travels (11) than at home (8) this season, but it is incredibly difficult to make a case for the strugglers this weekend. Leipzig have only lost one of their 14 home Bundesliga fixtures this term, and we fancy Nagelsmann's side to pick up another three points.

B. Leverkusen vs. Bayern (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Arguably the pick of this weekend's Bundesliga action will take place at the BayArena on Saturday afternoon as top-four hopefuls Bayer Leverkusen welcome league leaders Bayern Munich.

Leverkusen are currently fifth in the table, level on points with fourth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach, while champions Bayern are seven points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund at the summit.

We say: Leverkusen 1-2 Bayern

Leverkusen have won two and lost just one of their last six home matches against Bayern, who have also lost the last two fixtures between the two sides. There is no question that Bosz's side are capable of picking up a victory, but we just fancy the champions to have enough to pick up another vital three points.

Frankfurt vs. Mainz 05 (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Eintracht Frankfurt will be looking to build on their good run of form and keep alive their outside top-six hopes when they host Mainz 05 on Saturday.

The hosts have won back-to-back matches to climb up to 11th, eight points off a Europa League qualifying berth, while Mainz are still at serious risk of being relegated after failing to win any of their last five league games.

We say: Frankfurt 2-0 Mainz

Mainz have failed to win any of their matches since returning to action last month and dropping 12 of the last 15 points on offer. They have the ability to grind out draws on their travels, but Frankfurt are on a high following back-to-back wins and we are backing them to prevail on Saturday.

Dusseldorf vs. Hoffenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Relegation-threatened Fortuna Dusseldorf play host to Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon on the back of losing 5-0 at Bayern Munich last weekend.

Meanwhile, Hoffenheim make the trip to the Merkur Spiel-Arena as one of the form teams in the Bundesliga, recording seven points from their last three outings.

We say: Fortuna Dusseldorf 1-2 Hoffenheim

Given their demise against Bayern, we feel that Dusseldorf may find it difficult to bounce back in their next fixture. Coupled with Hoffenheim's recent resurgence, we have to back the visitors to claim a narrow victory.

Dortmund vs. Hertha Berlin (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Borussia Dortmund will continue their pursuit of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich when they welcome Hertha Berlin to Signal Iduna Park in Saturday's late start.

Lucien Favre's side are currently second in the table, seven points off Bayern, while Hertha occupy ninth position, having gathered 38 points from their 29 league matches this term.

We say: Dortmund 2-1 Hertha

Hertha are certainly capable of making it a very difficult afternoon for Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park, and the capital side will enter the match full of confidence due to their recent form. It is difficult to go against BVB on home soil, though, and we fancy Favre's side to pick up all three points in the narrowest of fashions.

Werder Bremen vs. Wolfsburg (Sunday, 12.30pm)

Werder Bremen's battle to escape the Bundesliga relegation zone will continue on Sunday afternoon when they welcome top-six hopefuls Wolfsburg to Weserstadion.

Florian Kohfeldt's side lost 3-0 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday to remain in 17th position in the table, while Wolfsburg occupy sixth, having gathered 42 points from their 29 matches this season.

We say: Werder Bremen 1-1 Wolfsburg

As mentioned above, Bremen have dominated the recent meetings between the two sides, and the strugglers have shown some decent form since returning to action last month. Wolfsburg will feel that they have better quality across the pitch, but we are struggling to separate the two teams in this one.

Union Berlin vs. Schalke (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Schalke players celebrate Weston McKennie's goal against Fortuna Dusseldorf on May 27, 2020© Reuters

Schalke 04 will attempt to halt a four-game losing run in the Bundesliga when they travel to Germany's capital to take on Union Berlin on Sunday afternoon.

David Wagner's side have dropped into 10th position due to their recent struggles, but Union Berlin have problems of their own, currently occupying 14th spot in the table as they battle to remain clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Union Berlin 1-1 Schalke 04

Both sides are likely to have earmarked this fixture as a good chance to put three points on the board, but neither will enter the contest in good form. Schalke's losing run is going to end at some point, and we expect the visitors to pick up something for their efforts on Sunday afternoon.

Augsburg vs. FC Koln (Sunday, 5pm)

Augsburg play host to FC Koln on Sunday afternoon with the opportunity to move level on points with their 12th-placed opponents in the Bundesliga table.

As for the visitors, ending a five-match winless streak will realistically ensure that they retain their top-flight status for another 12 months.

We say: Augsburg 1-1 FC Koln

With only one victory between them since the resumption, this is a difficult match to call. Given that both clubs will be desperate to avoid defeat rather than pushing for maximum points, a low-scoring draw, in theory, appears to be the most likely outcome.
