Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has praised his side after they returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga with a 4-0 victory over Stuttgart on Saturday.
The German champions failed to win in the league for the first time this season with a goalless draw at Eintracht Frankfurt last Friday, but four first-half goals powered them past Stuttgart as they temporarily moved eight points clear at the top of the table.
After revealing that he was not pleased with his side's performance in the 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal in the Champions League in midweek, Guardiola praised his players as they made it 12 matches unbeaten to start the current league season.
"It is difficult to play every three days and always have to win," he told reporters after the match.
"The team did brilliantly today, [although] Stuttgart had four or five clear chances."
The Spaniard also praised 20-year-old midfielder Joshua Kimmich after handing the youngster only his second Bundesliga start for the club.
"Joshua was unbelievable today, he deserves more game time," Guardiola added.
Bayern next face a trip to Schalke in a fortnight's time after the international break.
