Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng could miss Champions League semi-final

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says that he is unsure whether or not Jerome Boateng will be fit for next week's Champions League semi-final first leg.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has claimed that he is not certain whether or not Jerome Boateng will be fit for their Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.

The defender has been sidelined for three months with an adductor injury, but will return to training this week.

Bayern will take on Atletico in Spain for the first leg next Wednesday, but Boateng is a doubt.

"Jerome can maybe train with the team on Monday or Tuesday," Guardiola told reporters in a press conference. "He was injured for three months, so whether he'll be fit for the Champions League semi-final, I don't know."

The German giants reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 3-2 aggregate win over Benfica.
