Half-Time Report: Viktoria Plzen holding Bayern Munich at the break

Viktoria Plzen hold Bayern Munich after 45 minutes in this evening's Champions League meeting.

Viktoria Plzen and Bayern Munich go into half time goalless in this evening's Champions League clash in the Czech Republic.

The holders were quickest off the starting blocks, almost breaking the deadlock in the 16th minute when Bastian Schweinsteiger's low shot came back off the post.

Viktoria goalkeeper Matus Kozacik put in an impressive shift in the first half, denying Mario Gotze in the 27th minute, but the hosts gave as good as they got.

Their best opportunities came in the latter stages of the first period through Daniel Kolar and Milan Petrzela, neither of whom managed to hit the target.
