John Stones heading to Everton

Barnsley defender John Stones is now on his way to Finch Farm for a medical with Everton ahead of a reported £3m deal.

Wigan Athletic had a bid accepted this morning and the 18-year-old was believed to be heading to the DW Stadium.

However, the Toffees have now agreed a fee and are favourites to land the England Under-19 international.

Stones made his debut for Barnsley against Reading in March of last year.
