Stoke City's Jack Butland moves to Barnsley on three-month loan

Butland joins Barnsley on loan

Barnsley have announced that they have secured the services of Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland on a three-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old moved to the Britannia Stadium in the summer after finishing the 2012-13 season on loan at former club Birmingham City.

However, under manager Mark Hughes, the England Under-21 international has been playing second fiddle to Asmir Begovic this season.

Barnsley have confirmed that Butland, who was a former target of Chelsea, will go straight into the Championship team against Leicester City this weekend due to the back injury suffered by Luke Steele.
