Barnsley want to sign free agent Marlon Harewood

Barnsley want Harewood

Barnsley are reportedly considering a move for striker Marlon Harwewood.

The 32-year-old is a free agent after leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season following an injury-hit campaign.

Tykes manager Keith Hill is desperate to bolster his strikeforce for the new Championship season and sees Harewood as the man to fit the bill, according to Sky Sports News.

Harewood has spent pre-season training at Sheffield Wednesday but has not signed a deal at Hillsborough, leaving the door open for Barnsley to challenge their Yorkshire rivals for the forward.
