The 27-year-old centre-back's previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season, but he has now committed until 2019.
Pique has been with the Catalan outfit since 2008, when he returned to his boyhood club after three years with Manchester United.
He has gone on to make 266 appearances for Barca, scoring 20 goals.
