Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has reportedly given consideration to the prospect of playing Pedro at right-back.

The 27-year-old attacker has had limited starting opportunities this term, which has resulted in speculation that he could depart Camp Nou this summer.

However, Enrique is keen to retain the services of the Spain international, who he believes could operate in the full-back position over the coming campaigns, according to Marca.

The role is expected to become vacant at the end of the season, with Dani Alves seemingly on the verge of securing a free transfer away from Barca.
