Report: Athletic Bilbao to offer Gorka Iraizoz new contract

Athletic Bilbao are reportedly preparing to offer Spanish goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz a new one-year deal.

The 33-year-old has been with the Basque outfit since 2007, but his current deal expires next summer.

A number of clubs are believed to be monitoring developments, but according to AS, Bilbao are confident of signing the Spaniard to a new contract.

Iraizoz struggled for first-team football under previous boss Marcelo Bielsa, but has since established himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper.

Aritz Aduriz is also believed to be heading for a new contract at Bilbao.
