Man City renew Llorente interest?

Fernando Llorente has reportedly reached a deadlock in discussions with Athletic Bilbao over an extension to his current contract.

The Spanish international is believed to have asked for around £3.5m per year, while Bilbao are reluctant to go above their initial offer of £2.8m.

That news has alerted Premier League champions Manchester City, who would have no problem matching the 27-year-old's demands, according to The People.

Llorente is said to have a release clause in his deal worth in the region of £29m.

However, City would have to part with either Edin Dzeko or Carlos Tevez before they could acquire another striker.
