Gabriel Agbonlahor targets 40-point mark for Aston Villa

Gabriel Agbonlahor insists that Aston Villa need to reach the 40-point mark in the Premier League.

Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor believes that it is vital for the club to reach the 40-point mark in order to finish in a healthy position in the Premier League.

The Midlands outfit are currently 11th in the table on 31 points with 10 games left to play in the campaign.

"We're on 31 points at the moment - not 40," Agbonlahor told the club's official website. "We have to keep on getting the results as early as possible and not leave it late.

"We want to pull away a bit more and try to get to that 40-point mark as quickly as we can. We are confident, and the gaffer gives us the confidence."

Villa will take on league leaders Chelsea on home turf this Saturday.
