AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has revealed that captain and midfielder Jeremy Toulalan responded well after being left out of their 2-1 loss to Lorient last weekend.
The experienced midfielder was left on the bench as Jardim looked to experiment with a new-look formation which incorporated youngster Tiemoue Bakayoko.
"Jeremy responded well," said Jardim, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"He worked very well during the week, and he is an important player for the team. At this early stage we haven't yet found his best form but I'm sure he will find it quickly and he will soon be used."
Toulalan could make a return as Monaco take on Bordeaux on Sunday.
