Arsenal defender Johan Djourou admits that he would be interested in making his loan move from the Gunners to Hannover permanent in the summer.

Johan Djourou has admitted that he would be interested in making his loan move from Arsenal to Hannover permanent at the end of the season.

Djourou, 26, joined the Bundesliga outfit on a five-month deal earlier this month.

The deal does not include an option to buy, but the player is open to signing a permanent contract with Hannover should the opportunity arise.

"Arsenal did not want to include a buy option," said Djourou. "But those things don't worry me right now. I have to perform first, to make sure Hannover want to buy me.

"As a team we have the quality to reach the Champions League.

"Everything has to work out great and we all have to stay fit. It is a high goal, but you need to have them in sport."

Djourou, whose current contract with Arsenal is due to expire in June 2015, has been capped 38 times by Switzerland.
