Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno says that he is 'tempted' by a move away from the Bundesliga, having been linked with a transfer to Arsenal.

Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno has revealed that he will give consideration to a move abroad should an opportunity arise in the summer.

Earlier this week, it was suggested that Arsenal had identified Leno as a potential long-term replacement for Petr Cech and were prepared to meet the German's release clause.

However, Leno has insisted that his main priority is to help Leverkusen secure a return to the Champions League, with the club currently just two points adrift of second place in the Bundesliga standings.

The 26-year-old told Bild: "I have often said that playing abroad is tempting for me but right now, I am not wasting too much time on those thoughts. First of all, I want to return to Champions League with Bayer Leverkusen.

"There's been speculation like that two years ago and I thought about that too much back then. Those questions kept coming. Two years down the road, I am more relaxed now."

Leno - who has won six caps for Germany - is currently participating in his seventh campaign with Leverkusen.
