Nicklas Bendtner overweight for Crystal Palace medical?

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner reportedly failed a medical with Crystal Palace over the summer because he was considered to be overweight.

The Denmark international, 25, was expected to join the Eagles on transfer deadline day.

However, the move broke down after medical chiefs at Selhurst Park deemed the forward to be nine pounds too heavy, according to Goal.com.

Bendtner has since been afforded a fresh start at the Emirates Stadium this season following loan spells with Sunderland and Juventus.
