How Arsenal could line up against Sheffield United

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey could make his long-awaited comeback from a thigh operation in Monday's Premier League clash with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The Ghana international has been restricted to just five appearances for the Gunners this term and has not played for Mikel Arteta's side since October owing to his latest serious injury.

Partey did not make the matchday squad against Porto or Newcastle United last month, despite returning to team training before the Champions League loss to the former, but Arteta expects to have him at his disposal at Bramall Lane.

However, Oleksandr Zinchenko (calf) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knock) will require late fitness tests, while Jurrien Timber's ACL recovery is still on the right track, but it will be weeks before he can be considered for selection.

With the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against Porto not taking place until March 12, Arteta should see no reason to tinker with a winning formula, as Jakub Kiwior, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White line up in front of David Raya.

On the back of another classy performance versus Newcastle, Jorginho has surely done enough to reprise his role in midfield, occupying the deepest role as Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard operate ahead of him.

Arteta's central striking options include a fit-again Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah - who scored a hat-trick against the Blades back in October - but Kai Havertz is primed to play through the middle again.

Either side of the German will be the ever-present Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, the latter of whom is aiming to become just the third Premier League player to net multiple goals in three successive away games after Harry Kane and Dennis Bergkamp.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
