Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Chelsea will be bidding to end a five-game losing run when they continue their Premier League campaign away to title hopefuls Arsenal on Tuesday night.

The Blues have been beaten in six of their last seven matches in all competitions during a disastrous run, failing to win in the process, with their last victory coming away to Leicester City on March 11.

Chelsea have seen their already-slim top-four hopes evaporate in recent weeks, with a total of 39 points from 32 matches leaving them down in 11th position in the table, some 21 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Arsenal, who remain top of the table despite their damaging loss to Manchester City last weekend.

Armando Broja

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Armando Broja suffered a serious knee injury in a friendly towards the end of last year, and the Albania international will not be available until next season.

Kalidou Koulibaly

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Kalidou Koulibaly remains on the sidelines with a thigh problem, and it is unclear when Chelsea will have the experienced centre-back available for selection once again.

Mason Mount

Status: Out Type of injury: Pelvic Possible return date: Unknown

Mason Mount has undergone surgery to address a pelvic problem which has proved difficult to overcome, so the attacker is also currently unavailable for selection.

Marc Cucurella

Status: Majot doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: May 2 (vs. Arsenal)

Chelsea were missing Marc Cucurella for their loss to Brentford due to a thigh problem, and the Spaniard remains a major doubt for the contest with Arsenal.

Reece James

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Reece James is set to miss the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign due to the hamstring problem that he suffered in the recent Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

Kai Havertz

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: May 2 (vs. Arsenal)

Kai Havertz was not involved against Brentford due to a minor knee injury, but he is expected to be available for selection against Arsenal on Tuesday night.
