How Arsenal could line up against Orlando City

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could elect to name an unchanged starting XI for Wednesday's pre-season friendly with Orlando City in the FC Series at the Exploria Stadium.

The Gunners overcame Everton 2-0 in Baltimore at the weekend but were without Emile Smith Rowe, Ben White, Kieran Tierney, Fabio Vieira and Takehiro Tomiyasu due to minor injuries.

It would be a surprise to see any member of the quintet risked here, while number one Aaron Ramsdale was also absent from the win over Everton for unexplained reasons.

Matt Turner could therefore be handed another start in his homeland, as William Saliba makes a second consecutive friendly start alongside Gabriel Magalhaes at the back.

Nuno Tavares and Cedric Soares will expect to start in the full-back areas, with Hector Bellerin enduring a forgettable cameo against the Toffees, but Reuell Walters put in another promising display.

Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey are set to form their regular midfield pairing, as Martin Odegaard starts just ahead of the pair amid rumours that he will be handed the Arsenal captaincy for 2022-23.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli should continue to provide support to Gabriel Jesus, who has three goals from his first two games in an Arsenal shirt.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Turner; Cedric, Saliba, Gabriel, Tavares; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus
