Arsene Wenger hails summer signings improvement

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hails the impact of Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla following the Gunners' 5-1 win over West Ham United.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised summer signings Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla after all three found the net in a 5-1 thrashing of West Ham United tonight.

The Frenchman believes the trio are getting "better and better" and credited them as the driving force behind the convincing victory.

He told Sky Sports News: "They are doing better and better. Podolski had a great goal and some great assists.

"Giroud is getting better and of course Cazorla, we know about him. I believe overall we played very well for 90 minutes. In the space of 10 minutes we killed the game."

Wenger added: "If you look at the home games we have scored many goals in many games. Sometimes we've been stuttering but tonight it went well and we scored some great goals."

The win consolidates Arsenal's position in sixth place in the Premier League table with 37 points from 23 matches.
