Walcott thanks Arsenal after 12-year stay

Theo Walcott has revealed that he feels "sad but excited", having chosen to leave Arsenal for Everton.

Having failed to make a start in the Premier League this season, Walcott has penned a three-and-a-half-year contract at Goodison Park after Arsenal accepted a fee reported to be £20m.

The move ends Walcott's 12-year association with the Gunners, with 108 goals being scored in 397 appearances for the North London outfit in all competitions.

After the completion of his move, the England international took to social media to show his gratitude to everyone associated with Arsenal, a club he joined when he was just 16.

Walcott could be given his Everton debut when his new club face West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.
