Samir Nasri out of Arsenal clash

Roberto Mancini virtually rules Samir Nasri out of Manchester City's match with the Frenchman's former club Arsenal.

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri will almost certainly miss the visit of former club Arsenal on Sunday.

The Frenchman was forced off with a hamstring strain during City's 3-2 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid in midweek.

Citizens manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that while the injury will keep Nasri out of the Gunners meeting, he is hopeful that the 25-year-old will return in time for next weekend.

Mancini said: "I do not think he will be ready for Sunday. We will try but it is difficult. I hope he will be OK for next week."

Nasri left Arsenal to join the Premier League champions in 2011 for a reported £25m fee.
