River Plate will look to keep up their undefeated start to the second phase of the Argentine Primera Division on Saturday when they travel to face Argentinos Juniors.

The hosts head into the game after a defeat and are attempting to get back on track immediately.

Two of the division's strongest teams competing against each other is likely to provide a closely fought contest, which is why it would not be a shock to see them draw.

While the visitors might be slight favourites due to the season they have had, seeing them play to a draw could be the likely outcome.

Two teams in the bottom half of the Argentine Primera Division second phase will meet on Saturday as each looks to secure their first win of this section.

San Lorenzo will be making the trip to face Godoy Cruz in a game that both need to turn into a positive result.

Neither team heads into this weekend with much momentum or confidence due to their poor runs, but that could lead to each believing this is the perfect match to change their fortunes.

Godoy Cruz were a much stronger outfit within the first phase of the competition, and that should lead to them being the slight favourites here.

Newell's OB vs. Defensa (Saturday, 9.30pm)

Defensa y Justicia will attempt to get back to winning ways on Saturday after six games in all competitions without securing a victory.

They travel to face Newell's Old Boys in the Argentina Primera Division, who just so happen to be the last team that the visitors defeated.

We say: Newell's Old Boys 2-0 Defensa y Justicia

Defensa might have picked up three points the last time these two teams met, but this is going to be a tricky test for them this time around.

The poor form that the visitors are bringing into this game coupled with the fact that Newell's OB are at home should lead to them winning.

Boca Juniors vs. Talleres (Sunday, 12.00am)

Boca Juniors will attempt to climb into the top 10 of the Argentine Primera Division second phase this weekend when they host Talleres.

The visitors currently sit above them in the table though, and could end up as league leaders with three points on Saturday.

We say: Boca Juniors 0-2 Talleres

This is likely to be a close fixture due to how talented both teams are, especially since the Boca Juniors fans will create an intimidating atmosphere.

But the run that Talleres are enjoying at the moment will ave created real belief within the squad that will be tough to stop.
