Juan Sebastian Veron to delay retirement

Estudiantes midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has claimed that he is delaying his retirement.

The 36-year-old, who had previously announced that he was ready to would quit the game, said that his teammates had persuaded him to prolong his career.

The former Argentine international is expected to feature in the upcoming Clausura season, which begins in early 2012.

Veron's previous clubs include Parma, Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan.
