Almeria win at Real Sociedad

Almeria record their first victory of the new La Liga season thanks to a 2-1 win at Real Sociedad.

Almeria have earned their first win of the new La Liga season with a 2-1 victory away to Real Sociedad.

The visitors took the lead on 30 minutes when some confusion in the Sociedad penalty area saw Alberto de la Bella put the ball in his own net.

Their advantage was then doubled six minutes after half time as Mauro Dos Santos rose highest from a corner to head past goalkeeper Enaut Zubikarai.

However, Almeria's afternoon was made more difficult on 79 minutes when Sebastian Dubarbier was sent off after picking up a second yellow card.

Sociedad pulled a goal back five minutes from the end through Carlos Vela's low drive, but they were unable to force an equaliser.
