Al-Hilal 'weighing up move for Cristiano Ronaldo'

The reigning Saudi Professional League champions Al-Hilal are reportedly considering a deal to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 37-year-old recently agreed to mutually terminate his Manchester United contract following his shock interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV, where he criticised the club, Erik ten Hag and the Glazer ownership.

With Ronaldo currently a free agent, he has been linked with a number of sides, including former club Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle United.

According to Sky Sports News, Ronaldo has the option to complete a move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal currently exploring a deal to sign the Portugal international.

As well as attracting interest from Al-Hilal, the striker has recently been linked with another Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr.

Ronaldo started Portugal's 3-2 win over Ghana on Thursday, where he opened the scoring from the penalty spot to become the first player to score at five successive men's World Cups.
