AC Milan have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Everton midfielder James McCarthy.
The 23-year-old has become a key player for the Toffees since joining the club last season from Wigan Athletic.
According to the Daily Star, McCarthy's agent was in Italy last week for talks with Milan and their city rivals Inter Milan.
McCarthy has made nine appearances in the Premier League for Everton this season.
