Tear gas, flares stop play at AC Milan match

A number of fans attending the Serie A match between Genoa and AC Milan left the stadium after tear gas was set off in the stands.

Players gathered in the centre circle of the Stadio Luigi Ferraris as play stopped for around five minutes.

Flares were also reported to have gone off outside of the ground.

The match had been playing for 17 minutes before the disruptions.

When play resumed, Milan ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Antonio Nocerino.
