Massimiliano Allegri: 'AC Milan were not good enough'

Allegri: 'Milan not good enough'

Massimiliano Allegri has said that AC Milan showed a lack of determination during their Serie A match with Livorno.

The Rossoneri came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw, with Mario Balotelli scoring twice, and Allegri was particularly disappointed at the manner in which his side conceded their second goal.

"I compliment Livorno because they put in a very good performance," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"We showed a lack of determination and it is difficult to win a match like that. We conceded the second goal from a throw-in and that is not good enough.

"We've got to understand that if we don't match our opponents in terms of determination and intensity, then our quality won't make the difference."

Milan are currently eighth in the Serie A table.
