Stoke City suffer 1860 Munich defeat

Stoke City's pre-season tour of Germany has continued with a 2-0 defeat to 1860 Munich.

Despite naming a strong starting XI that included debutant Bojan Krkic, Thomas Sorensen and Stephen Ireland, the Potters were unable to record their first win of the summer.

Munich made the breakthrough on 26 minutes when Daniel Adlung found the net with a long-range strike.

The Germans then sealed the victory seven minutes into the second half thanks to Bobby Wood's effort.

Stoke return to action on Tuesday when they face Schalke 04.
