Canada's Jennifer Abel both 'happy and disappointed' with Glasgow performance

Canadian diver Jennifer Abel tells Sports Mole that she is both pleased and downhearted after her three-medal haul at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Canada's three-time medallist at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Jennifer Abel, has told Sports Mole that although she is pleased to have medalled in every event she entered, she wanted to win three golds.

Abel added a silver in the 3m springboard to her gold from the 1m springboard and silver from the 3m synchro to make it five Commonwealth medals in total after two golds in Delhi four years ago.

When asked by SM if she was happy to come away three medals or disappointed to just have one gold, Abel, 22, said: "I'd say both.

"I was really looking for three golds but unfortunately today it didn't go as well as I wanted it to. But it was okay, I was consistent, my dives were really good except my quality of entries, so that's the point I will have to work next year."

Australia's Esther Qin won 3m gold this evening - her second medal of the Games - while Hannah Starling took bronze for England.
