Gary Anderson, Phil Taylor through to last 16 of Grand Slam of Darts

Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor are safely through to the last 16 of the Grand Slam of Darts after they registered a second win of the group stages on Sunday.

Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor have booked their place in the last 16 of the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.

The PDC world champion averaged below 90 against Nathan Derry but still registered a 5-0 win, while Taylor made it two wins out of two as he eased past Ian White by a 5-1 scoreline.

Peter Wright thrashed Simon Whitlock 5-0 to also make it through to the knockout stages, as did James Wade who recorded a 5-3 triumph over James Wilson.

Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld are all but assured their places after comfortable wins over Brendan Dolan and Danny Noppert respectively, but Adrian Lewis has been eliminated after losing 5-3 to Chris Dobey.

BDO number one Glen Durrant has given himself an opportunity to make the next round with a 5-1 victory over Alan Norris, but Martin Adams and Scott Waites are likely to exit the tournament at the group stages after losing to Max Hopp and Gerwyn Price respectively.
