Peter Wright, Terry Jenkins, Robert Thornton into last 16 of World Championship

Peter Wright has booked his place in the last 16 stage of the PDC World Championship by beating Ronny Huybrechts 4-1 at Alexandra Palace this afternoon.

Last year's finalist recorded four 180s as he coasted to victory against his Belgian opponent, securing the win by successfully finding double 12 to cruise through.

Elsewhere in the second round of the showpiece tournament, Terry Jenkins made light work of Laurence Ryder by securing a comprehensive 4-0 victory.

The Bull came within a whisker of recording a nine-dart finish, although he was unable to match his feat of last year as he fell narrowly short in the second set.

It was equally straightforward for Robert Thornton, who brushed aside Ronnie Baxter 4-0 to set up a meeting with either Dave Chisnall or Benito van de Pas in the next round.
