Taylor triumphant at Grand Slam

Phil Taylor has won his fourth Grand Slam of Darts title after he produced a majestic performance to beat Gary Anderson 16-4.

Anderson went 2-1 ahead early on with 140 and 128 checkouts, but that was as good as it got for the Scot as he was unable to halt Taylor's masterclass.

Taylor went on to open up an 8-2 lead and after Anderson had briefly reduced the deficit to 9-4, Taylor turned on the style as he neared a world record average for a darts final.

In the space of four legs, he hit checkouts of 88, 81 and 81 to move three legs from victory and after Anderson had missed darts to extend the match, Taylor stepped in to land double two to finish with an average of 109.03.

Earlier in the day, Taylor beat Adrian Lewis 16-9 to reach the final while Anderson came back from 10-6 down to defeat Mark Walsh 16-11.
