Lewis thrashes Jenkins in UK Open final

Adrian Lewis has recorded an 11-1 victory over Terry Jenkins to win his first UK Open title.

The two-time world champion produced one of the best performances of his career in averaging 109.13 to easily see off the challenge of Jenkins, who finishes runner-up for the eighth time in a PDC major tournament.

Lewis stormed to the opening two legs, before Jenkins halved the deficit in the third leg as he looked to display the form that had seen him defeat Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals.

However, he had no answer to Lewis's accuracy as the 29-year-old stormed into a 10-1 lead before sealing victory with an 87 checkout.

The triumph sees Lewis move up one place to third in the PDC Order of Merit, while Jenkins now sits in 18th position.
