Dave Chisnall thrashes Gary Anderson to top Premier League

Dave Chisnall moves to the top of the Premier League table with a 7-2 victory over world champion Gary Anderson.

Dave Chisnall has continued his unbeaten start to the Premier League with a 7-2 win against Gary Anderson in Exeter.

The world number nine averaged 110.78 and hit six maximums to defeat the 2015 world champion and move to the top of the league table.

Michael van Gerwen also remained undefeated after five games but the Dutchman dropped to second in the standings after only drawing 6-6 with Peter Wright.

Phil Taylor is in third place after he overturned a 4-1 deficit to defeat James Wade by a 7-5 scoreline, while Stephen Bunting registered his first success of the campaign with a 7-3 triumph over Adrian Lewis.

The opening game of the evening saw Kim Huybrechts survive a comeback from Raymond van Barneveld by hitting a 170 checkout in the final leg to run out a 7-5 winner.
