Grand Slam of Darts draw: Luke Humphries, Luke Littler learn opponents for group stage

Defending champion Luke Humphries will square off against three-time finalist James Wade in the group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts.

Having lost to Mike De Decker in the World Grand Prix final and bowed out at the quarter-final stage of the European Championship, the world number one is motivated to get back into the winners' circle.

However, he will face a battle for top spot in Group A with in-form Wade, Mickey Mansell and Rowby-John Rodriguez being his opponents for the opening phase.

In the opposite side of the draw, Luke Littler is making his debut at the event and he has been provided with a showdown against Dimitri van den Bergh among his opponents in Group F.

The teenager will also go up against Keane Barry and Lourence Ilagan as he attempts to avoid yet another first-round exit at a major tournament.

Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson have been paired together in Group G, with Ryan Joyce and Noa-Lynn Van Leuven also bidding to progress from that group.

There are a number of groups that are impossible to predict, including Group H where Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman will all fancy their chances of reaching the last 16.

Recently-crowned European champion Ritchie Edhouse was only among the third seeds and will play Dave Chisnall, Ross Smith and Connor Scutt.
