Wade, Webster through to second round

James Wade and Mark Webster have both swept through to the last 32 of the PDC World Championship.

Wade conceded just two legs as he produced a clinical display to dismiss Peter Hudson 3-0.

Webster averaged over 97 to overcome a tricky first-round draw to beat Ian White 3-1, in a match that included 14 180s.

Peter Wright hit checkouts of 140 and 126 as he continued his impressive recent form to record a 3-0 whitewash victory over Arron Monk.

In the final game of the night, John Bowles marked his World Championship debut with a 3-2 win over Jamie Caven.
