Michael van Gerwen thrashes Raymond van Barneveld to progress to the quarter-finals of the World Grand Prix in Dublin.

Michael van Gerwen emerged victorious in the battle of the Dutchmen after he produced a thrilling display to defeat Raymond van Barneveld.

The defending champion in Dublin conceded just two legs to his countryman as he cantered to a 3-0 success to earn a place in the last eight.

His bid to reach a second final in a row was boosted after Adrian Lewis was comfortably beaten by Justin Pipe, who included an 150 checkout during his 3-0 victory.

Dave Chisnall overcome a slow start to get the better of Wayne Jones by a 3-1 scoreline, while Andy Hamilton took the first seven legs of his contest with Kevin Painter before confirming his place in the quarter-finals.
