Van Barneveld: 'I've rediscovered my belief'

Raymond van Barneveld has revealed that rediscovering his confidence is behind his run to the semi-finals of the Premier League.

The defending champion appeared on course for an early exit, but an unbeaten run of eight games has set him up for a last-four showdown against Michael van Gerwen on Thursday night, with the winner going on to play either Dave Chisnall or Gary Anderson in the final.

The 48-year-old told PDC.tv: "I had a draw against Gary in week nine and wasn't eliminated, and I'm really pleased that in the seven games since Judgement Night, I've had six wins and a draw.

"I've practised a lot on finishes. I'm just doing my thing but I like the game, I like to battle and with the darts that Unicorn provide me, I'm playing well.

"I believe in myself again - I'm not watching any other players because I know how brilliant they are, but I'm a good player as well and if you believe in yourself - like last year - anything can happen."

The all-Dutch contest is a repeat of last year's final, which Van Barneveld won by a 10-6 scoreline.
