Taylor defeats Lewis at PC Finals

Phil Taylor will play Andy Hamilton in the last-eight of the Players Championship Finals after he defeated Adrian Lewis 10-7 on Saturday night.

The 15-time world champion recorded an average of over 105 to beat the world number two and he will now play Hamilton on Sunday afternoon after the World Championship runner-up defeated Michael van Gerwen 10-8.

Simon Whitlock produced the performance of the tournament so far as he demolished Ronnie Baxter 10-1 with a 109 average to move through to a quarter-final tie with Gary Anderson, who recorded a 10-7 victory over Robert Thornton.

Mervyn King will play Justin Pipe in the last-eight after they beat Steve Beaton and Brendan Dolan respectively.

Kim Huybrechts recorded an impressive 10-6 win over Michael Smith and he will now play Peter Wright, who defeated Wayne Jones 10-7.
