Lewis to face Heydon in World Championships

Adrian Lewis will attempt to defend his title with a first round clash against Nigel Heydon, while Phil Taylor takes on either Haruki Muramatsu or Dennis Nilsson.

Defending PDC World Champion Adrian Lewis will go head to head with English professional Nigel Heydon in the first round of the tournament.

Number one seed Phil Taylor will face either Japan's Haruki Muramatsu or Swedish pro Dennis Nilsson in the opening stages of the competition.

Last year's runner-up Gary Anderson Will take on Jyan Artut in the first round, while James Wade, who was third seed in the draw, will play Per Laursen or Petri Korte.

The tournament will commence on December 15 at Alexandra Palace.
