Christian Kist switches to PDC

Former BDO world champion Christian Kist has announced that he is switching to the PDC.

The 27-year-old Dutchman has signed a three-year contract with Precision Sports Management.

He will join PSM stablemates Joe Cullen, Jamie Lewis, Devon Petersen and Jani Haavisto on the PDC Tour in 2014 providing he gains a Tour Card at Q School in Wigan next week.

"I feel the time is right to make the switch to the PDC and once I knew PSM were interested it made the decision very easy for me," said Kist.

Kist, who lifted the Lakeside title in 2012, was awarded a wildcard entry to this year's BDO World Darts Championship.

He beat Japan's Hiroaki Shimizu in a preliminary round before averaging 95.91 in a 3-1 defeat to second seed James Wilson.
