Gary Anderson earns Grand Slam of Darts invite

World number seven Gary Anderson is one of four players to be awarded a place in next month's Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.

The PDC has announced that any player who has won a European Tour event during 2014 has earned qualification for next month's Grand Slam of Darts.

The event, which includes many of the top performers from the PDC and BDO, will now include world number seven Gary Anderson, who won the German Darts Championship in February.

Also included is Austrian Open champion Vincent van der Voort, European Darts Grand Prix winner Mervyn King, and Michael Smith, who triumphed at the European Darts Trophy in September.

Phil Taylor is the current title holder at the tournament which gets underway at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on November 8.
