Gayle hits first ever opening Test ball six

West Indies batsman Chris Gayle became the first ever cricketer to hit a six from the opening delivery of a Test match earlier today.

The 33-year-old hit Bangladesh's Sohag Gazi through long-on and over the boundary ropes to score a maximum in Dhaka.

Gayle was eventually dismissed for 24 as the Windies ended day one on 361-4.

They will play two Test matches against Bangladesh, before five one-day internationals and a T20 fixture.
