South African batsman returns to Headingley

South African batsmen Jacques Rudolph is hoping to take advantage of Yorkshire career in second test.

South African batsmen Jacques Rudolph has admitted that he is excited to be returning to Headingley ahead of the second Test with England.

The 31-year-old spent five years with Yorkshire during his English domestic career, and he is hoping he can help his teammates with his knowledge of the Headingley pitch.

Rudolph said: "I had five very good years here. I share a lot of sentiment in this place.

"There is a perception that Headingley can be a bowlers' venue. But as a batsman, when you get in on this wicket, you can go big."

Rudolph was not required to bat in the first Test as South Africa secured an innings victory to lead the series 1-0.
